The Rise of Pearluxe Corp
Some say "striking it rich" carries pejorative undertones. I say: We all need to realize that sometimes you have to do wrong to do right. — A Preface.
Our story began in the plastic model business. In those early days, we weren't called Pearluxe Corp, and what existed was just a little-known workshop called Pearluxe Studio. Fun fact: our founder's actual surname was "Pearlucks," but as you can't register a studio with a duplicate name, we registered "Pearluxe."
And just like that, an era passed. As a model studio, Pearluxe churned out tens of thousands of popular toys but remained within that niche. The true turning point arrived with the second chairman, McSmith. By securing investment from the IPC's Strategic Investment Department, he transformed a modestly famous toy studio into a first-tier player in the entertainment industry.
But nothing ever goes smoothly. After Pearluxe Studio grew into Pearluxe Corp, we inevitably had to face pressure from the Marketing Development Department. They viewed themselves as Planarcadia's founding stakeholders and were determined not to let the Strategic Investment Department outshine them. McSmith was murdered at age 49 when a crazed imagenae hurled stones at his self-driving vehicle from an overpass. Traveling at high speed, he was killed on impact. And that imagenae had disintegrated into a pile of wispae before investigators could arrive at the scene.
After McSmith, Pearluxe entered a long period of turmoil, relying heavily on capital injections from the Strategic Investment Department just to stay afloat. Stability was finally restored under the leadership of our 19th chairman, Thomas. Prior to joining Pearluxe, Thomas was already a well-known entertainment producer in Planarcadia. After acquiring shares in Pearluxe, he successfully pushed through multiple projects and significantly improved employee benefits across the board. These moves not only boosted our internal solidarity but also upended the Marketing Development Department's low-wage strategy, thereby establishing our dominance in Planarcadia's entertainment market in one fell swoop.
Thomas worked diligently until his retirement at 85, after fifty years of service. By then, Pearluxe had become an Interastral Media Conglomerate with a hand in every major entertainment venture across Planarcadia. Following Thomas, the chairmanship passed briefly to Mr. Kent before coming to me, Pedro Kuwabara. Some say I'm a descendant of that legendary genius, but that's just a misunderstanding born from our shared surname. Honestly, as the 21st chairman, I don't think I contributed much to the corporation... If I had to name one thing, it would be selecting Pearl as the 22nd chairman. But whether that decision was the right one... well, only time will tell. Time will test her, and test all of you as well.
